The Road Race returns to Port Sunlight in 2023

One of the biggest events in Port Sunlight’s events calender is returning in 2023 – the Port Sunlight Road Race! Organised by BTR Liverpool, the Road Race welcomes thousands of runners each year to follow the 5k or 10k route through the village’s leafy streets. It’s arguably one of the most picturesque running events in the UK.

This year’s edition takes places on Sunday 11th June. We’re delighted to be welcoming back Unilever Port Sunlight as the headline sponsor for the event.

Important information for residents

As in previous years, road closures will be in effect from 7:30am to 2pm on race day, Sunday 11th June.

We encourage all those attending the event to travel via public transport although there will be some car parks open around the edge of the village on the day.

Information sessions

If you are a village resident or business and have questions about road closures you’ll be pleased to hear that we are running drop-in sessions on Monday 5th June between 2-3pm and 6-7pm at the Church Hall on Bridge Street to help answer your queries. We are particularly anxious to hear from and assist residents with carers (or their neighbours if they cannot attend the drop-in) who will need to gain access to homes on race day.
