Support for Residents
Welcome to our Support for Residents page. We aim to provide useful information for residents to assist them with the conservation and maintenance of their homes.
Nearly all houses in Port Sunlight (except for a small number) are Grade II listed. Port Sunlight is also a Conservation Area and furthermore all houses that have been sold are subject to restrictive covenants that are still in force. This means there are a number of controls over any alteration to the external appearance or character of a house and residents should follow the guidance here carefully if they wish to avoid abortive costs and ultimately a great deal of inconvenience.
Here you will find a source of reference on the care and maintenance of your home, procedures you should follow if you are altering or replacing anything and eventually we will provide a database of contacts covering trades and/or services that might assist you. We will add more material to these pages as it becomes available.
Your home is a heritage asset and we at Port Sunlight Museum & Garden Village know that looking after a house in Port Sunlight is a big commitment. We want to assist you as much as we can.
